Chris shared the sad story of Mayhem and the Blueberry-turned-Biteberry yarn. I promised that, were I to win, I would love it and kiss it and call it George.
Well, I haven't puckered up yet, but the Yarn Called George arrived on my doorstep! I have already made plans for it--socks on a #1 circ, toe-up, Cat's Paw Lace (as in Wendy's Lucy Socks).
"Yeah, yeah. Where's the box? I get the box. And paper."
She also sent me some wonderful treats--non-melting Pez (considering the above-90 temps), a little notebook (useful as I am losing my mind), one of her favorite books, a tape measure, and her "Everybody Wants to Be a Cat" mix. Wilbur agrees, so long as I keep petting him (and stop squirting him when he asks for food at 4 am).
Thanks, Chris! Orville & Wilbur will try to match May bite for bite.
You, too? What is it with the early morning wake up calls for breakfast! Geez!
What a nice yarn! And I really like the cat paw pattern, too.
I'm intrigued. What's on the CD mix?

You're very welcome! I'm excited to see how it knits up.

How cute! I must confess that my laptop is named George for the same reasons. I picked him up from the FedEx place and told him I would love him and hug him and pat him on the head and call him George.
George humored me and has been the best little Mac EVER! :)

O.K. It's nice to see others remember the old Bugs Bunny cartoons. We have a tortise-shell kitty who started out as Princess. Now she is Princess George because I always promise to hug her and love her and cuddle her and call her George. Funny no. She just cat-apulted over my shoulder into my lap for some George time so I guess I'd better quit writing and start loving.
